Full description

On this 10-hour trip, we will visit the attractive locations of Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss where the guides will walk with you around the areas. Þingvellir is where the oldest still working parliament is located. There you will also see how the Euro-Asian and N-American plate is slowly separating. Þingvellir is a magical place. Geysir is where you can find an erupting hot spring, which only exists at two other locations in the world. Lunch at Friðheimar Tomato farm!

Optional is the ice cave and snowmobile tour at Langjökull Glacier!

Our first stop is Kerið, a volcanic crater which is approximately 3000 years old. We then make a lunch stop at the one-of-a-kind Friðheimar tomato farm. At Friðheimar you sit right next to the tomato plants you are eating! You can try one of their famous “Marys”:

• The Bloody Mary, The Happy Mary, The Healthy Mary, The Virgin Mary

Not only that but they even serve a tomato ice-cream! A tomato expert will also tell us some interesting facts about the farm.

After this, we visit the spectacular Gullfoss glacial waterfall. Then just 10 minutes away is the entertaining Geysir erupting hot spring. We end the tour at Þingvellir National Park. This is where the oldest still functioning parliament was established in the year 930. Þingvellir is not only a fascinating location for lovers of rocks and geology, but it’s also a remarkable place for those who want an insight into the history of this magical country.
