Enjoy a 3-hour cruise into Faxaflói with trained naturalists searching for the whales and wildlife of Reykjavík.

The meeting point is at the red and white ticket office in the Old Harbour where the vouchers are exchanged for boarding tickets. At the Visitor Centre, a converted fishing vessel, the crew will meet you. There you can also go through the wildlife exhibition.

Once onboard, you will find several outdoor viewing platforms, a heated indoor saloon with large viewing windows, a cafeteria, toilet facilities and a cloakroom where you can borrow our blankets and overalls for the duration of the tour. You can either stay outside in the fresh air or inside the heated lounge and observe from within. One of our excellent naturalists will give a live commentary throughout the tour and notify of any sightings.

Please, keep in mind that this is a wildlife tour and the sightings cannot be predicted nor guaranteed. If you don’t encounter any whales or dolphins, you would get complimentary tickets to have another chance to try and see them.

Since the weather can be unpredictable, please dress accordingly. In case of bad conditions, the itinerary might be altered, usually as a slightly longer tour, or the tour could be cancelled. You will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.
